Marie Toms lives with husband Leonard Toms in St. Louis MO. They enjoy two grown sons, Leonard Jr. and Kilian Toms. She is the second child born to Lenner and Parlee Broadway. After collaborating with former family committees and much research, she then wrote the recent release Broadway Generations book, which chronicles the Broadways’ clan hierarchy from James Broadaway’s humble roots of slavery. Mrs. Toms holds a Master of Technology & Education degree and serves as an adjunct professor at Patricia Stevens College.

A teen-age Marine, Eugene Broadway served in the Vietnam War. After his term in the military Mr. Broadway received his Bachelor Degree from Philander Smith College. Out of college, Broadway continued his service for the U.S. government but in the U.S. Postal Service. He retired at the age of 36 and went on to become a respected Barber, Barber Instructor and eventually the Arkansas State Board Inspector. Currently, Mr. Broadway is enjoying his second retirement and resides with his wife Shianne in Powder Springs, Georgia.

Molly Tumusiime Abala, attributes her success to extreme focus and God given wisdom at an early age. She overcame all barriers and carved her way to her desired goals. She completed her studies in Nursing and Midwifery and went to work with the Ministry of Health of Uganda. After twenty years of service in the public sector, she joined Non Governmental organizations. She holds a BA degree in community based Development and a Masters degree in Public Health. She has a passion for the disadvantaged populations and administers a trust helping children of under-privileged parents advance their dreams. He and wife Gloria Lorraine Turner have three wonderful grown children: Kanika Briscoe (Ken), Jermaine Walker (Shaconda), and Felicia Newman (Louis). They have ten grandchildren.

Leonard C. Toms, Sr. was the only child born to the union of Eddie Lewis Toms and Mavis J. Hunt. Born and raised in North Little Rock, Arkansas, Leonard is a retired public educator. He has played semi-pro baseball for years. After retiring from playing, he coached, refereed basketball and umpired many games for competitive little league baseball all over the country.
